Madineh received her B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, and PhD in Engineering Science from Penn State University. She completed post-doctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania with Diego Contreras and Larry Palmer, and at the Max Planck Florida Institute, with David Fitzpatrick, before joining Cornell as an Assistant Professor in 2023.  Madineh has worked to understand the visual circuits that give rise to perception for a decade. She has contributed to our understanding of the visual system of a diverse range of species including cats, mice, and tree shrews.
